how to vote in the Burlington City Council election, March 5, 2024

If you mailed in your ballot later than Saturday 2/24, please check its status at https://mvp.vermont.gov/. Sign in and click on ‘my voter page’ to make sure your ballot has been counted. If your ballot has not been marked as ‘received’ by the evening of March 4, come in to the polls on March 5. You’ll be able to cast your vote there!

Check your voter registration status and register to vote online at https://olvr.vermont.gov/.

You can also register to vote at City Hall until March 1, or in person at 585 Pine Street on March 5 when you go to vote.

If you’re already registered to vote in Burlington, you can return your voted ballot to a drop box:

At City Hall:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until March 1st.
  • On Monday, March 4th, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    At a Ballot Drop Box, by March 4 at 4:30pm:

  • City Hall – Main Street side of the building across from the Flynn Theater
  • Department of Public Works – 645 Pine Street
  • Fire Station #2 – 132 North Avenue, rear of building
  • Robert Miller Community Center – 130 Gosse Court
  • Fire Station #3 – 20 Mansfield Avenue
  • To Burlington Electric Department, 585 Pine Street, on March 5 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • You can also vote at 585 Pine Street on March 5 between 7am and 7pm.
